1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO
The i3+ EVO and its sibling the i3 EVO, are identical robots, but they differ in that the i3+ has self-emptying features. That makes the i3+ an excellent choice for people who want an automated, hands-free cleaning experience, but aren't afraid of taking the time to empty their robot's trash bin as it gets full.
Both robots do well cleaning up surface debris from hard floors and carpets, and they're very adept at getting around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes smart maps of your home that help the i3+ EVO navigate and clean in a way that maximizes efficiency. However, unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we evaluated, the i3+ doesn't have a feature for avoiding obstacles, so it may get stuck on things such as power cords or socks, and it can have difficulty in navigating through transitions between surfaces like hardwood to carpet.
iRobot suggests cleaning the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or clutter it might encounter. Also, keep the filters and dust bin clear to avoid getting blocked. When the i3+'s internal bin is full or the battery is empty it goes back to its docking station and automatically empties its dirt into the station's dust bin, and then continues cleaning where it began. Battery life is about an hour and a half of continuous usage. It takes 3 hours to charge.
2. iRobot Roomba i7+
The iRobot i7+ is a top model from iRobot’s flagship line and is packed with the latest technology. It's self-charging and self-navigating. the most important feature of all -- it comes with a self-emptying dustbin that eliminates one of the primary sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.
The Roomba I7+ is able to make rooms more efficient maps using Imprint Smart Mapping. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning jobs and control your robot using voice or via the app.
The i7+ is more efficient and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, though it self-empties its dust bin that removes a major source of maintenance and lowers the amount of time spent cleaning.
We were also impressed with the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot to start or stop cleaning sessions as well as move around the room and vacuum a particular area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and easy with the iRobot Home app. Once connected, to give voice commands to the i7+, for example "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s preferences and monitoring its performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10

Its specialized cleaning head drives stiff nylon bristles deep into carpets to trap large crumbs and fine dust. It comes with three suction modes to meet the task being performed. It can quickly change from handheld to floor vacuum, and vice versa.
The model comes with a dock which charges the Dyson to 100 percent in 3.5 hours. It also gives easy access to 2 attachments as well as a handheld. This is a huge improvement over previous Dysons that require a lengthy charge and are difficult to store.
The main issue with the V10 is its limited run time. The claims of its marketing that it has up to 60 minutes of running time are a bit misleading as CR's tests have shown. This is a typical and not a remarkable run time for the battery-powered cordless vacuum. This is still enough to get rid of the majority of an average-sized house, but not quite long enough to clean every area (though the second time around usually will suffice). This model has its own advantages however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is significantly better on low-pile floor carpet.
4. iRobot Roomba 694"
The 694 is a basic robot vacuum that's a great choice for those who don't have lots of money to spend on the latest model of robot. It's capable of sucking up most debris types and sizes during our tests, and it often passes over the same areas several times to get a really thorough clean. The flat front of the unit allows it to reach into corners and along the edges of walls and walls, which is a nice addition.
Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate your home, but it lacks the mapping capability of more sophisticated models like our top selections, the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. It is prone to getting stuck on phone cords or low furniture and will often run out of power before returning to its original location.
The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in all aspects in that it has fewer parts that require regular maintenance and is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, incurs lower recurring costs, has more advanced automation capabilities and is more efficient in maneuvering itself. It also has a bigger dustbin and charges quicker.
The eufy RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 in most reasons, since it has a longer battery life, the ability to change its suction power mode on its own, comes with physical boundary strips, and can be controlled by your smartphone's voice assistant. It also feels more sturdy, has a more powerful motor, and works better on bare floors and carpets with a low pile, as well as offering a wider range of features for automation.

However, it wasn't particularly well in avoiding larger objects, like cords and socks which was a disappointment. It's also more expensive than the other models we tried, which might be a problem for certain shoppers.
The app lets you access the onboard camera of the smart vacuum. You can also create live streaming from the robot's cleaning area. This feature allows you to keep track of your pets or children when you're away from home. The dustbin and filter are washable for quick, painless cleanup. The Jet Bot AI+ also has a clean station that's self-emptying and helps keep the robot's dustbin clean and maximizes suction power for each cleaning run.

The app also makes it simple to steer the robot manually if needed. My living room rug, for instance is darkly colored which could cause a problem for other robots. However, the HRV 425BL continued to move across the border without registering it as a cliff. And the ability to create the weekly cleaning schedule is a fantastic time-saving feature.
